1. First Dragon Forum 2010 workshop in Warsaw is finished.

The first Dragon Forum 2010 Workshop in Warsaw was held from 10th to 13th of March. Each day schedule included morning and afternoon sessions with invited experts and evening screening of documentary films. Participants, through presentations and brainstorming discussions started to develop their projects following creative consulting of Carmen Cobos (NL), Dorota Roszkowska (PL), Steven Seidenberg (GB), Vita Zelakieviciute (PL) and Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz (PL). All 20 selected projects were represented during that first workshop and organizers and experts wish to express their acknowledgments for participants’ hard work!

2. The International Dragon Forum Workshop in Kiev, Ukraine.

The International Dragon Forum Workshop in Kiev, Ukraine is organized in cooperation and hosted by The International Festival of Documentary Film for Human Rights Docu Days Ua. 18 projects of documentaries from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus were selected to participate in Workshop taking part from March 28 to April 01 in Dom Kino (Cinema House), Kiev. The number of observers willing to take part in workshop reached the number of 50!

Participants receives files with didactic materials, list of contacts and projects, information about tutors, experts and cooperating institutions. Common discussion of the projects, discussion over form and message, screenings visual materials, work in groups and analysis are intended to prepare chosen projects for trial pitching presentations in front of experts from TV stations that will end the workshop on April 1. Consultations and tutoring are provided by Dorota Roszkowska (PL), Steven Seidenberg (GB), Radmila Sesic (NL), Svetlana Zinovyeva (UA) and Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz (PL). Experts invited as guests and to participate in trial pitching are:

After each day’s Dragon Forum Workshop activities participants are accredited to watch the Docu Days Ua Festival screenings of documentary films.

3. Second, Production Dragon Forum 2010 workshop in Warsaw is coming.

The Second Dragon Forum 2010 workshop in Warsaw will be held, as in past years, in historical building of Ujazdowski Castle from April 21 to April 24. The workshop hosted by the Centre of Contemporary Art is dedicated to film production and to further development of projects. Organizers, tutors and experts expect from participants to present for the Second workshop their new films’ trailers and new concepts of synopsis. Tutors, Carmen Cobos (NL), Dorota Roszkowska (PL), Steven Seidenberg (GB), Vita Zelakieviciute (PL) and Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz (PL) will continue to work with participants in order to prepare their project to successful pitching during the next session in Krakow.
